Ecological education is understood as a continuous process that fosters awareness of humanity’s moral and spiritual responsibility to protect and care for the natural environment. This awareness affirms that every positive effort carried out consistently contributes constructively to environmental sustainability. Furthermore, ecological education can be implemented in various contexts, including the school environment, family life, communication media, and catechetical activities. This study is expected to contribute to the development of pastoral educational praxis at SMAK Santo Lukas Olilit Timur, enabling it to become more deeply rooted in the core teachings of Pope Francis as articulated in the Encyclical Laudato Si’.
