Abstract

Sistem keuangan global menghadapi transisi akibat inovasi digital, namun dominasi dolar Amerika Serikat masih bertahan kuat, didukung oleh stabilitas institusional, kedalaman pasar, dan pengaruh geopolitik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai kondisi dominasi dolar, menganalisis peluang serta hambatan Bitcoin dalam perdagangan internasional, dan memahami pengaruh digitalisasi finansial dan geopolitik terhadap tatanan moneter. Objek riset utama adalah persaingan antara dolar Amerika Serikat dan Bitcoin, ditambah perkembangan mata uang digital bank sentral. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan data sekunder berupa artikel ilmiah dan laporan resmi, studi ini menemukan bahwa meskipun Bitcoin menawarkan keunggulan efisiensi biaya dan kecepatan yang menarik pada level mikro bahkan sebagai jalur alternatif menghindari sanksi ia gagal menantang dominasi dolar secara sistemik karena volatilitas harga yang ekstrem dan fragmentasi regulasi global. Sementara itu, dorongan untuk mengurangi ketergantungan terhadap dolar dari negara-negara besar dan pengembangan mata uang digital bank sentral menunjukkan persaingan mata uang global yang semakin beragam, meskipun inersia struktural dolar tetap menjadi penghalang terbesar bagi perubahan tatanan tersebut.
